Welcome to the ultimate gaming experience where fans go AFK (Away From Keyboard) to dive headfirst into the real-world action! AFK Expo is the ultimate gaming convention featuring developer showcases and thrilling gaming tournaments. Designed to bring the gaming community together, it highlights the passion of players and creators alike.

This was a team project and this case study will focus primarily on my portion towards the project. The other designers on the team were Kaila Tomita and Racheal Hensley.

CLICKING INTO PLACE






The logo went through various initial designs, but the team admired the one that most resembled keys from a keyboard. 

Considering the name of the event, we found it to be the most fitting. Additionally, it allowed us to animate the keys rising up and down.

Playing off the AFK theme, our animated backdrops take inspiration from the classic Windows screensavers.
